Job Title: Lead Project Management Professional

Salary: Up to £53,000 Depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Deputising for the Project Manager as appropriate to ensure continuity of project delivery, maintaining communication with stakeholders, and overseeing day-to-day operations to keep projects on track

• Delivery of work package to time, cost, quality, including monthly schedule and cost forecasting

• Maintain accurate management of resource forecasting based on planned work

• Assistant Control Account Manager in support of the overall delivery of the control account

• Support the Identification, assessment, and management of project risks

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and project best practice

• Prepare reports, presentations and documentation for internal project and customer reviews

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Extensive knowledge and working experience of project management techniques including resource planning and management, cost capture, analysis and forecasting, schedule planning and tracking, Earned Value Management (EVM), risk and opportunity management and change management

• Comprehensive understanding of one or more Project Management tools techniques and practices

• PM Qualification such as the APM Project Management Qualification or another appropriate PM professional body

Desirable:

• Comprehensive understanding of Life Cycle Management

The BAE Systems Naval Ship Combat Systems Team:

As a project management professional for Naval Ships Combat Systems, you will be working closely with experienced Project Managers, to plan, coordinate and deliver one of our highly complex and strategically important projects, working across a portfolio which could include International Projects and/or MOD Customer Projects.

You will gain hands on experience in project management process, stakeholder engagement and technical coordination, while contributing to projects that push the boundaries of engineering.

This role would be a great fit for someone on the trajectory in Project Management building experience before running a larger programme with opportunity for growth potential in leadership and coordination.
