One of London’s longest-standing community-led housing co-ops is looking for a Property Manager / Neighbourhood Manager to take the lead on property management, compliance and contractor oversight across a diverse, much-loved portfolio. THE ROLE
- Manage day-to-day operations across 104 homes in 29 buildings
- Oversee repairs: instruct contractors, chase progress, and sign off completed works
- Maintain full compliance: gas, EPCs, EICRs, fire safety, asbestos, damp & mould
- Keep accurate records and compliance spreadsheets up to date
- Carry out property inspections — every building visited at least annually
- Manage voids: end-of-tenancy checks, works, re-lettings and tenancy progression
- Produce reports for the Property Maintenance Sub-Committee
- Follow housing policies and procedures with consistency and diligence
- Work closely with the Admin & Finance Officer on arrears and Member communication
THE PROFILE
- Experience in housing, neighbourhood or property management
- Confident managing contractors and driving high-quality delivery
- Highly organised with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
- Comfortable using Excel to track compliance and certification cycles
- Clear, confident communicator with Members and contractors alike
- Understanding of housing compliance (or ready to learn quickly)
- Holds or is working towards a housing qualification (CIH Level 3/4 ideal)
