One of North London's longest-standing community-led housing co-operatives is seeking an Asset Manager to lead on cyclical works, major repairs, compliance oversight and long-term asset planning across 104 residential homes. It is a technically led, strategically important position focused on:

The Role:
You will act as the organisations technical lead across asset planning, major works and compliance, reporting to the Management Committee. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing a long-term cyclical and major works programme based on stock condition data
- Overseeing compliance with UK Building Regulations, fire safety, H&S and CDM regulations
- Diagnosing complex building issues and specifying technically robust remedial works
- Critically evaluating contractor proposals to ensure compliance, feasibility and value for money
- Managing contractor procurement and performance
- Managing budgets for major repairs and cyclical programmes
You will operate as the senior technical decision-maker on building matters, providing clear written and verbal recommendations to the Property Maintenance Sub-Committee and Management Committee.
The Profile:
We are looking for a technically credible, analytically strong asset professional who combines building knowledge with sound judgement.
Essential
- 5+ years' experience in asset management, building surveying or technical property maintenance within social housing, housing co-operative or local authority settings
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and statutory compliance
- Demonstrable experience evaluating contractor proposals and challenging technical
- Ability to interpret stock condition surveys and translate data into strategic plans
- HNC/HND/Degree in a building-related discipline (or equivalent experience)
