Who we are
Red Door Homes is one of Kent's leading residential lettings and property management agencies, managing over 900 properties across Medway, Canterbury and the surrounding area.
We also operate sales business in Medway and our sales in Canterbury are handled by Charles Bainbridge, a boutique residential sales agency.
We're growing fast, we're ambitious, and we're building the structure to match.
We're not a corporate.
We're a founder-led business that moves quickly, takes pride in what we do, and holds ourselves to a high standard.
If you want a role where you can genuinely shape how a business operates, this is it.
The role
We're looking for a Chief Operating Officer to own the operational engine of the business — the systems, the structure, the processes, and the standards that everything else runs on.
This isn't a figurehead role.
You'll be in the detail when you need to be and in the boardroom when that's where the conversation is.
You'll work directly alongside the CEO and will be a core part of the senior leadership team alongside our Managing Director and Head of Finance.
What you'll own
Building and maintaining operational systems that scale — from compliance and process documentation to tech, automation and efficiency.
Setting and holding the standard across both brands — what good looks like, what great looks like, and ultimately what Red Door looks like.
Driving the operational delivery of our growth strategy.
Ensuring our people have the structure, clarity and support to perform at their best.
Leading the operational integration of new acquisitions as the business grows.
What we're looking for
We're open on background. What matters is that you've run something, fixed something, and built something that outlasted you being in the room.
You'll be a natural systems thinker who can also lead people.
You'll be commercially sharp without losing sight of the detail.
You'll be direct, calm under pressure, and someone who earns trust quickly.
Ideally you'll bring experience at a senior operational level — whether that's in property, professional services, or any business where operational excellence genuinely matters.
What you won't do is treat this as a stepping stone.
This is a role for someone who wants to build something they're proud of.
Why Red Door Homes
A seat at the table from day one.
A business that's growing with genuine momentum.
A founder who will back you to do the job properly.
And the opportunity to shape what this business looks like at the next stage of its growth.
Salary is competitive and will reflect the right person. We'd rather pay properly than lose the right candidate to a number.
