We are looking for a motivated Tree Officer to join the Tree Team at Redditch Borough and Bromsgrove District Councils, working across a varied and substantial tree estate that includes street trees, open space trees, and extensive woodland.
The role: You will carry a mixed caseload covering TPO and planning applications, tree condition assessments, reactive and proactive inspections, and public and contractor liaison. You will work alongside a small team and manage your own workload with a reasonable degree of independence.
What we're looking for:
- A nationally recognised Arboricultural qualification (e.g. Level 3 Award in Arboriculture or equivalent), or a minimum of three years' relevant industry experience
- A working knowledge of tree and planning legislation, including TPO law and familiarity with BS5837
- Good IT skills and written communication
- A full UK driving licence and access to own transport
- Self‑motivated and able to prioritise a varied workload
