Situated in North Worcestershire, Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council share services. We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Revenue Officer to join our Finance and Customer Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering and collecting Council Tax and Business Rates, ensuring compliance with legislation while delivering a high standard of customer service to residents and businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Council Tax and Business Rates accounts, including liability, discounts, and reliefs
- Process changes in circumstances and maintain accurate records
- Monitor payments, arrange refunds, and support recovery action
- Provide clear advice and support to customers and stakeholders
- Handle queries, appeals, and correspondence in a professional manner
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
About You
- Experience working in a Revenues environment (minimum 3 years preferred)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Numerate and confident handling financial information
- Able to manage your own workload and work as part of a team
- IT literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Committed to continuous improvement and delivering excellent service
