We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Income Services Team, where you will play a key role in supporting the effective financial operations of Redditch Borough and Bromsgrove District Councils. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure invoices are raised accurately, payments are processed efficiently, and accounts are maintained to a high standard. You will also work closely with customers to help resolve financial matters sensitively and effectively, while ensuring that appropriate and timely recovery action is taken.
Key Responsibilities:- To carry out daily/weekly reconciliations in respect of debt raised and paid and support AP Reconciliations.
- To raise, terminate and monitor accounts for Council related debts.
- To ensure that payment arrangements are made and maintained and that appropriate action is taken where the arrangement is not paid.
- To ensure that payments are posted to correct accounts and make necessary transfers of items.
- To make payment arrangements across all debt streams as appropriate, in accordance with guidance.
About You: We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- 12 months’ experience of working in a debt collection office environment.
- Experience of working in a customer orientated environment.
- Experience of IT systems used for the collection of debts.
- GCSE English and Maths, grades A-C or equivalent.
