Environmental Services Place and Core operational teams are two of the most vital and visible teams working for Redditch Borough and Bromsgrove District Councils, providing services to the people of both towns. Environmental Services Place has a vacancy for the following Operative: Environmental Services Operative Level 3 Horticultural Specialist. You will be part of the Place Team 2 based in Redditch who work on a geographical area basis. The successful candidate will be working in all areas of the town and will need to have a full manual UK driving licence, be physically fit and able to work on his/her own initiative to the specified job description. You will be required to cover, support and work closely with the Place Coordinator.
Duties to include:
- IT skills in the use of Word, Outlook and Excel
- Ride on mowers
- Using hand tools and chainsaws for pruning/minor felling work
- Weed killing – Knapsack and ATV quad spraying
