Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council are seeking an exceptional leader to join as Acting Assistant Director for Corporate Services & Transformation (12‑month fixed‑term maternity cover). The role will lead the transition from a shared services model into a Unitary Council, driving strategic change across both councils and influencing system‑wide change in Worcestershire.
Responsibilities
- Lead a wide‑ranging portfolio spanning digital and ICT transformation, HR, organisational development, performance, engagement and policy.
- Shape how the organisation operates now and in the future.
- Drive strategic change across both councils, including Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) and Devolution, working closely with senior colleagues across seven authorities, elected Members and regional partners.
- Support colleagues and Members to navigate change with confidence.
- Influence system‑wide change and help shape the future structure and delivery of public services across Worcestershire.
