We are seeking a strategic community management professional to join our International Community Team, and lead a growing team in EMEA. As the Manager of Community for EMEA, you will spearhead the development and execution of the community strategy that supports Reddit’s growth in the region. In this role, you will lead a team of Community Specialists and will take charge of defining the roadmap for community activation and moderation across focus markets, and help develop our international playbook. Your work will focus on experimenting, iterating, and refining processes that drive community engagement at scale. The insights you generate through these efforts will accelerate Reddit’s growth in EMEA, and serve as a model for other emerging markets. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, International Community.
Responsibilities:
- Craft and champion the regional community strategy, ensuring alignment with overall team and business goals.
- Drive the iteration, innovation, and scaling of the community and moderator growth playbook, proactively identifying new opportunities and launching bold initiatives in key markets.
- Inspire and empower regional teams to execute impactful programs that elevate local communities, and their markets.
- Encourage innovation and create an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
- Recruit, onboard, and train local community specialists in key markets to strengthen our collaboration with moderators and drive community engagement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Growth, Product, Engineering, etc.) to ensure successful alignment and execution of new initiatives.
- Gather regional insights and learnings, and effectively report results to various internal stakeholders.
Required qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in community management or operations, including at least 1-2 years in a leadership role, with a proven track record of driving community growth and delivering business impact through community-led projects.
- Organized with a strong ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
- Problem-solver with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams and influencing them to adopt a community-first mindset.
- Comfortable testing, iterating, and adjusting strategies to find the optimal approach for each market.
- Skilled at navigating ambiguous environments and experimenting with different approaches to achieve results in focus markets.
- Data-driven and results-oriented, with a keen ability to translate insights into action.
- Deep understanding of Reddit’s unique identity, and the critical role communities and moderators play in adding value to the platform and enhancing user experiences.
- Fluency in English, and in one of the European languages: German, French, Italian or Spanish.
- Resident of the UK, France or Germany.
