Voting Member, Board of Directors (Human Capital / CHRO)

Location: Global (Preferred: London, Francophone West Africa, or U.S.)

Type: Part-Time | Non-Executive | Fiduciary Board Role

The Redda Group has been retained to identify an experienced current or former Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to serve as a Voting Member of the Board of Directors for a vertically integrated energy infrastructure company with a growing footprint across West Africa. Our client develops, owns, and operates power plants, natural gas pipelines, and related energy infrastructure serving industrial and utility customers throughout the region.

We are seeking an accomplished HR executive who has helped organizations scale globally, develop executive leadership teams, oversee succession planning, strengthen corporate governance, and build high-performing cultures.

The Opportunity

As a member of the Board of Directors, you will provide strategic oversight while advising executive leadership on:

  • Human capital strategy
  • Executive leadership development
  • CEO succession planning
  • Executive compensation and incentive programs
  • Board governance and organizational effectiveness
  • Talent acquisition and retention
  • Culture transformation
  • ESG and workforce strategy
  • Leadership development across international operations

You will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and fellow board members while helping guide the organization's continued growth across West Africa.

Preferred Qualifications

Successful candidates will bring many of the following:

  • Current or former CHRO experience within a multinational, global, or private equity-backed organization
  • Board of Directors or nonprofit board experience
  • Experience advising CEOs and Boards on strategic human capital matters
  • Expertise in executive compensation and Compensation Committee governance
  • Deep experience in executive assessment, succession planning, and organizational development
  • Experience supporting global or multi-country operations
  • International business experience, particularly in Africa or other emerging markets
  • Energy, infrastructure, engineering, industrial, or other capital-intensive industry experience is preferred but not required
