About Us

At RedCompass Labs, we believe there are only two types of payments: good and bad. We enable the good payments and help stop the bad ones. We are global experts in payments modernization, using the latest applied AI, microservices technology, and deep payments expertise to deliver end-to-end payment transformation projects. Our solutions help clients accelerate their payments modernization programs while reducing costs and regulatory risk. The RedFlag Accelerator sets the industry standard for detecting financial crime. Using a persona-oriented approach, it identifies the actors behind transactions, including victims, money-laundering professionals, perpetrators, and others. By combining the latest red flags, crime models, and OSINT data, our system detects crimes across labor and sex trafficking, elder abuse, drug trafficking, scams, and potential APP fraud within financial transactions. Our comprehensive offerings include algorithms, analytics, and training tools designed for both bank systems and teams. With offices in London, Warsaw, Brussels, Singapore, Tokyo, Miami, Toronto, and Pune, we support clients worldwide.

Role Description

The Project Lead role at RedCompass requires a strong focus on quality delivery, predictable outcomes, and meeting deadlines. This role is suited to someone who plans thoroughly, anticipates risks early, and actively tracks progress against scope, time, and budget. Project Leads are expected to identify issues before they escalate and take ownership of resolving them. Successful candidates are adaptable and able to work effectively within different client cultures. They can multitask across initiatives, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly and proactively, and keep stakeholders informed at all times. They are comfortable operating “in the weeds”, building plans, managing dependencies, tracking risks, and maintaining delivery momentum, while also stepping back to guide teams toward the broader objective.

A critical capability for this role is the ability to level communication appropriately for different audiences. Project Leads can confidently run weekly delivery meetings with client teams, translating complex detail into clear, actionable updates. They are equally capable of raising their communication style for senior stakeholders, presenting at Steering Committees in a succinct, articulate, and well-positioned manner. They know how to frame progress, risks, decisions, and recommendations so executives can quickly understand what matters and act with confidence.

RedCompass is seeking both emerging and experienced Project Leaders. While they possess the core technical capabilities of a traditional project manager, their value lies in execution and problem-solving. Project Leads at RedCompass get things done. They foresee challenges, make informed decisions under uncertainty, and lead teams and clients through complexity and change. Project Leads are resilient and outcome-focused. They take ownership for delivering change on time, within scope, and within budget. They act as project managers, trusted advisors, team leaders, and problem solvers — often simultaneously. They know when to dive deep to fully understand an issue and when to make timely decisions with imperfect information. Above all, Project Leads at RedCompass are strong communicators, forward-thinking planners, and committed delivery leaders. They lead with empathy and clarity, maintain accountability, and remain relentlessly focused on achieving results.

You will be accountable for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, control, budgeting and closure of a project. Ensuring that the project goals and deliverables are clearly defined and communicated accordingly to responsible parties. Building, maintaining and tracking against a Mid-Level project Plan as a quality gate for both reporting to RedCompass Labs Management and how client delivery is to be measured. Facilitating client workshops to present, validate and achieve consensus on business approaches, requirements, plans and timelines. Asking penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions and resolve conflicts. Assessing and developing any contingency or recovery plans. Recognizing the importance of bridging the project and the business/Operations/technical teams without bias. Ensuring issues and risks are identified, tracked, actioned and mitigated in a timely manner to minimize uncertainty and impact to delivery schedule. Supporting the program manager in delivering the project as part of a wider portfolio. Demonstrating leadership qualities with a resilient approach to getting the job done. Managing stakeholders with regards to target deliverables against project schedule and any impacts go-live date. Creation of internal and external status reports for management partners. You will own and be accountable for on point, effective, balanced project reporting at all levels, both to the client and internally at RedCompass Labs.

The Successful applicant will have/be:

  • Global Team leadership experience, organizing and steering teams
  • Strong planning, reporting and some budget management skills
  • A problem solver and able to think through challenges and provide options for consideration with limited supervision
  • Hands-on and analytical in understanding issues impacting progress
