We are seeking dedicated and experienced Wound Care Nurse from the United Kingdom to join our client's private hospital on a beautiful Caribbean island. The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for the assessment, treatment, and management of acute and chronic wounds in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role includes patient education, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting infection prevention practices in a tropical climate where wound complications may be more prevalent. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive wound assessments (pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds, burns, traumatic injuries)
  • Develop and implement individualized wound care plans
  • Clean, dress, and monitor wounds using evidence‐based practices
  • Identify signs of infection and elevate care appropriately
  • Work closely with physicians, podiatrists, and dietitians to support healing
  • Educate patients and families on wound care, hygiene, and prevention strategies
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and wound tracking records
  • Support infection prevention and control protocols
  • Train and mentor nursing staff in wound care best practices
Nurse Qualifications
  • Registered Emergency Room Nurse (RN) qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in emergency medicine.
  • Currently a member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) from the United Kingdom.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
  • Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is desirable.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to handle high‐stress situations.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
