Job description
Aim of the role:
In order to increase our security posture, Redcentric have created a new role of Information Security Manager. The role will be responsible for owning the core security polices and procedures for the company and for ensuring adherence to Security best practice across our Corporate and Service Provider estates.
Key responsibilities:
Duties will include, but are not restricted to the following:
- Ownership of the Redcentric Security Strategy
- Ownership of the Redcentric Security Policies
- Ownership of our ISO27001 certification
- Ongoing development of the Redcentric Threat model
- Working with technical teams across the business to ensure that solutions are deployed inline with current security best practices
- Reporting on security issues and risks to the CTO and wider Operating Board
- Ownership of the Security Issue and Remediation plan and ensuring its implementation
- Management of Critical Security Incidents
- Management of the wider security virtual team
- Ensuring that the correct and appropriate technological solutions are in place to protect, detect and mitigate security threats to Redcentric and our customers.
GENERAL DUTIES
Working with the wider CTO leadership team on security awareness training across the business. Being the company subject matter expert on Information Security and related issues.
Person specification
The candidate must hold a current valid CISSP certification and have a minimum of 3 years experience working in a security role within a technology focused company. They will ideally also have experience of working within a Managed Service Provider environment.
They must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment with continually evolving technologies, threats and business priorities.
They must be able to communicate complex technical issues to stakeholders across the company including Board and C-Level.
While the role will primarily be based in our York or Harrogate offices, the candidate must be open to travel to our other UK locations including Elland, London and Reading.
Hours of work
The company\’s standard hours of work are 9.00 until 5.30pm, Monday to Thursday, with one hour for lunch, and 3:30pm on a Friday. However due to the nature of this role there will be the need for flexibility in relation to working hours. #J-18808-Ljbffr
