Tech Champion- Digital Accessibility (ARTCF144)

Contract: Fixed Term, working 17.5 hours per week (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility)

Salary: £36,987 (pro rata) per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.

Location: Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham, Bristol, Cambridge or Brighton (The role will be based at the office base listed; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1-2 days a week)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Digital Culture Network as a Digital Accessibility Tech Champion. The network supports the development of skills of the arts and cultural sector in England.

Do you enjoy supporting and mentoring others? Do you want to help arts and cultural organisations improve their digital skills? This role involves providing actionable one-to-one advice, delivery of training and creating resources to share best practice and guide organisations and individuals to make their digital content and activity accessible.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced digital accessibility professional, who has a good understanding of how arts organisations and individuals might use technology to their best advantage. They should have the drive, ambition and communication skills to encourage and support organisations and individuals at all levels to realise their digital ambitions in this area.

You will work closely as part of a dynamic and friendly national team of Tech Champions to provide support and expertise across the country. You will be highly motivated and able to work independently on your initiative as well as proactively contribute to national team working.
