Tech Champion – Digital Accessibility (ARTCF144)

Contract: Fixed Term, 17.5 hours per week. Arts Council recognises flexible working and welcomes applications from individuals who require flexibility.

Salary: £36,987 (pro rata) per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.

Location: Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham, Bristol, Cambridge or Brighton. The role is based at the listed office base; however, we operate a hybrid working model with regular on-site contact days (normally 1-2 days a week).

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Digital Culture Network as a Digital Accessibility Tech Champion. The network supports the development of skills of the arts and cultural sector in England.

Responsibilities

  • Provide actionable one-to-one advice to organisations and individuals.
  • Deliver training and create resources to share best practice and guide digital accessibility.
  • Support and mentor arts and cultural organisations to improve their digital skills.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be an experienced digital accessibility professional with a good understanding of how arts organisations and individuals might use technology to their best advantage. They should have the drive, ambition and communication skills to encourage and support organisations and individuals at all levels to realise their digital ambitions in this area.

You will work closely as part of a dynamic and friendly national team of Tech Champions to provide support and expertise across the country. You will be highly motivated and able to work independently on your initiative as well as proactively contribute to national team working.
