About The Role
Are you a highly experienced GM in the Hospitality industry, who thrives on variety, loves to travel a bit and enjoys a challenge? We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Designate General Manager to join our team for a fixed term period. This is a senior, hands‑on leadership role, providing operational cover and strategic support across our estate locations during periods of transition, absence, or development. You will step into General Manager responsibilities at short notice, ensuring operational continuity, maintaining standards, and leading teams with confidence and clarity. The role is a UK‑wide one, requiring travel and stays away from home depending on geography. Each “hold” is typically between 3–6 months, depending on the circumstance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as General Manager across assigned sites as required
- Lead, motivate, and stabilise teams during transitional periods
- Ensure consistent delivery of brand standards, service, and performance
- Take full accountability for operational, financial, and people performance
- Drive commercial results, cost control, and KPI achievement
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of management teams
- Identify operational risks and implement effective solutions quickly
- Build strong relationships with site teams and senior stakeholders

- Proven experience as a General Manager within a multi‑site or hospitality environment
- Highly adaptable, resilient, and comfortable working in change‑driven settings
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to quickly gain trust and credibility
- Commercially astute with solid financial and operational knowledge
- Excellent communication, coaching, and people management skills
- Flexible and willing to travel extensively as required
