Working for a high-profile, fast-growing consumer e-commerce brand, the Product Design Lead will shape the future of their digital customer experience across all platforms for millions of customers. The company is looking to build an in-house design team, moving away from agency reliance. This will be the first role in the team and, in time, will hire and lead a small group. You’ll own the UX vision and strategy, lead the creation of a first-of-its-kind design system and elevate the quality of their app-first experience across the full customer journey and all touch points.

Responsibilities

  • Setting the strategy and vision for all digital touch points
  • Driving improvements across the mobile app (iOS & Android), booking flow, payments and innovation areas linking digital and physical experience
  • Leading the creation of a scalable design system
  • Staying hands-on with interaction, UI and visual design
  • Working in close collaboration with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Brand and Insights
  • In time, hiring and leading a small team

Qualifications

  • Experience leading design strategy for consumer-facing apps
  • Worked at eCommerce companies (e.g. retail, travel, ticketing, etc.)
  • Excellent UX, UI and interaction design craft
  • Ideally worked at both large corporate and smaller businesses or startup/scale-up
  • Clear, concise communication skills; able to simplify complexity
  • Commercial mindset and comfort owning end-to-end product features
  • Candidates may come from roles such as Lead Product Designer, Head of Product Design or Senior Product Designer
