We are supporting a global organisation in the search for an experienced Procurement Manager to join their Global Procurement team on an 8.5-month contract. This role will support the Director of Procurement – Global Markets, helping maximise value from technology spend while balancing quality, service, risk, and security of supply across a wide range of global technology products and services. You will also play a key role in delivering the procurement technology strategy and partnering with stakeholders to challenge existing delivery models, optimise legacy contracts, and drive strategic sourcing outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Procurement Leadership Team to provide technology category insights and help shape procurement strategy.
- Work with senior stakeholders to scope, plan and deliver technology sourcing strategies.
- Drive strategic procurement decisions and change management initiatives.
- Manage technology licensing to ensure usage aligns with budget and avoid true-ups.
- Oversee technology contracts, tracking renewal and termination timelines and leading renegotiations to deliver cost savings and cost avoidance.
- Lead programmes to help business teams become smarter customers when engaging with suppliers.
- Analyse third-party spend across the organisation and identify strategic sourcing opportunities.
- Ensure strong governance across category management decision points.
- Conduct strategic supplier and category reviews, using market intelligence to develop high-impact sourcing strategies.
- Monitor and review supplier performance and KPIs.
- Lead sourcing activities including tender processes, evaluations, contract mobilisation, and contract management frameworks.
- Plan and lead commercial negotiations with strategic suppliers.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience delivering technology procurement in a large, complex or matrix organisation.
- Proven track record of global contract negotiations and commercial strategy.
- Ability to build relationships with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading tender processes and procurement strategy development.
- Skilled negotiator with experience defining commercial terms, performance milestones, and governance frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A relevant professional qualification such as MCIPS (or equivalent).
- Degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
