Global Event Manager – Tech & SaaS

Start: ASAP

Rate: £430/day Inside IR35

Length: 12 months

Location: London/Hybrid 2:3

This global fintech based in Silicon Valley, California builds products and services used by millions of customers worldwide.

They are seeking an experienced Global Event Manager who will manage and oversee the planning of meetings and special events from London, Australia to Canada.

You will be coordinating all amenities and accommodations including site selection, food, transportation, and audio-visual equipment. You will also monitor and control event budgets and prepare periodic reports on cost.

The Role:

  • Manage a team based in London and establish an effective operating model with local teams, external agencies and US counterparts
  • Develop the EMEA events strategy for the brand aligned with the International growth strategy and FY25 targets
  • Build relationships in the UK office and remote EMEA colleagues across Sales and CSM and create localised playbooks and ways of working to drive impact with events in EMEA
  • Develop in-depth market understanding in EMEA and share findings and recommendations with US team to better localise assets and events
  • Manage and execute in-person, hybrid and virtual events (in partnership with Product Marketing, Customer Education Sales, etc.) to drive demand for the brand in EMEA
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive annual event calendar to support meeting lead generation and customer growth forecasts consistently throughout the year
  • Manage UK agencies and build strong partnerships to scale events across EMEA and AU delivering impact and driving new bookings within mid market
  • Create detailed project plans (inclusive of training and contingency needs) to ensure flawless event production and execution on budget
  • Develop comprehensive cross-channel marketing plans meeting GDPR guidelines to promote virtual events (pre-, during, and post) to achieve event objectives and KPIs
  • Partner with PMM to create positioning, messaging, buyer personas and other information relevant for EMEA target segments that will help drive highly qualified leads
  • Rigorously manage, measure, and analyse all events, marketing campaigns and tactics driving conversion rate increases and funnel optimisation
  • Manage and reconcile EMEA event budgets monthly
  • Analyse outcomes, provide insights and present results to facilitate sound decision-making and identify future opportunities to expand footprint in EMEA

Experience:

  • You have 5+ years hands-on experience in in-person & virtual events and lead generation.
  • You are highly collaborative in your approach partnering effectively with many different internal and external stakeholders, including agency partners, Sales teams and Event Organizers.
  • You have both hybrid and virtual events management experience and are also well-connected in the B2B Events world (a plus).
  • You possess knowledge of best practices in B2B marketing automation, demand generation, and rules-based lead nurturing.
  • You have a proven track record with managing pipeline generation, lead scoring, and managing integrated demand generation campaigns from concept to ROI analysis.
  • You are relentlessly data-driven; focus on funnel optimisation and optimisation of the sales and marketing process.
  • You have a competitive spirit with a strong bias for action for constant rapid testing, learning and iterating and have proven examples of how you have used this to deliver meaningful results.
  • You are a self-starter and thrive when building something new, whether it’s initiating and leading efforts, projects and programs.
  • You are extremely organised, dependable and a stickler for the details.
  • You are flexible and adaptive to change with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have prior software industry experience with B2B marketing; experience with SaaS based marketing solutions a plus
