Overview

The Hub is a residential children\’s home, and we welcome applicants with residential experience.

We are immensely proud that No Wrong Door has been embraced within Redcar and Cleveland for the last four years.

We are now recruiting to the position of Hub Residential & Edge of Care Officer.

Role and responsibilities

This post will proactively provide the support and interventions young people need so that they can achieve the best possible outcomes in life. This is a challenging position that will be suited to a flexible, resilient, and positive applicant.

As a designated keyworker for a range of young people receiving support from No Wrong Door, you will work as part of a 24/7 rota and provide the stability to help young people develop problem-solving and life skills to improve their outcomes, both within the residential children’s home and in the community, supporting children and their families who are experiencing difficulties and are on the edge of care.

As such, it is important for successful candidates to be able to drive and have access to their own vehicle on a daily basis, as you may have to travel to our families across Redcar and Cleveland, and sometimes further afield.

You will work closely with our young people and their families, offering support through a range of tools and interventions grounded in a trauma-informed and relational approach.

This role is critical to building relationships and trust with the most vulnerable and complex young people in Redcar & Cleveland, you will ‘stick with’ each young person through some of the most challenging points in their lives.

Location

You will be based at the Hub on the outskirts of Redcar, in a beautifully refurbished former care home that offers outstanding facilities for the multi-agency team who will be based there to support some of our most vulnerable young people.
