Overview
The Council is seeking to recruit an Accounting Support Officer who will be based at the centre of the Council, in the Resources Directorate, which has key responsibility for managing the Council’s money and people as well as ensuring that democratic decisions are well informed and legally sound.

Responsibilities
- Provide financial support to colleagues within the finance team and a range of services across the Council.
- Support central finance functions including treasury management and banking, and assist services in managing their budgets and monitoring in-year activity.
- Support colleagues with the development of business cases for capital projects, grant funding for new initiatives and internal and external audit queries.
- Communicate effectively with customers who possess varying levels of financial skill.
