Responsibilities include dealing with a range of planning applications such as householder developments, minor commercial applications, advertisement applications, applications for changes of use, and some major applications.
Provide advice and guidance to members of the public, applicants, agents, along with elected members and Council officers.
There is an opportunity to shadow experienced planners on significant major and complex applications for housing development and industrial developments to gain exposure to complex applications and cases.
While you will be responsible for your own caseload of planning applications and enquiries, you will work within a supportive environment with mentoring from experienced planners.
The role will be suitable for planning officers with several years of experience looking for their next career step.
