Overview

The Finance Manager – Accountancy (Children & Families) role is a senior leadership position within the service, offering the opportunity to influence decision‑making at the highest levels and shape the future of critical services for children and young people. Acting as a strategic business partner, you will play a key role in high‑profile transformation programmes, helping to drive sustainable change supporting financial planning, including the Medium‑Term Financial Plan, and ensuring strong governance and value for money across complex and challenging service areas.

Experience and Qualifications

We are particularly keen to attract experienced finance professionals from the public sector (local government, education, health or similar), who can bring strategic insight and quickly establish credibility within a complex environment. Experience supporting Children & Families services within local government would be highly advantageous.
