Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council are looking to recruit a motivated and well-organised individual to the role of Commissioning Officer in our Children's Commissioning team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy and dynamic service supporting some of the Council's key priorities for children, young people and families. The team works across a broad range of areas within Children's Services, helping to ensure that commissioned provision is safe, effective, responsive to need and delivers positive outcomes.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting commissioning activity across the service. This will include:

  • Working with providers and partners
  • Monitoring and reviewing commissioned activity
  • Contributing to compliance and quality assurance processes
  • Supporting the management of contracts and associated information
  • Using data and service intelligence to help inform decision-making and service improvement

We are looking for someone who can work independently at a high level, manage competing priorities, communicate effectively with a wide range of colleagues and external partners, and analyse information from different sources to support a well-informed and responsive commissioning function. The role offers an exciting and fulfilling opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of responsibilities within Children's Commissioning, aligned to service priorities and the evolving needs of the directorate.

An enhanced DBS disclosure and other pre-appointment checks will be required for this post.
