Maggie’s provides a different kind of cancer care supporting both those affected themselves and those who love them. No matter what someone is facing, their support specialists, psychologists and benefits advisors are here to help find their way to live with cancer. Maggie’s arrived in Middlesbrough in October 2025 bringing much needed support to those living across the Tees Valley and beyond. Maggie’s Middlesbrough are based at James Cook University Hospital and are open to anyone affected by cancer.

Role Description

Maggie’s Middlesbrough are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to join their fundraising team to help promote the centre and support with fundraising events. Ideally the volunteer will have experience of working within the charitable sector, and will be confident speaking to the general public.

Purpose of the Role

The role will involve attending stalls and events across the region so a driving licence and access to a car would be vital. The role will include attending various stalls to let people know what they do, supporting the Centre Funding Manager at fundraising events including sporting events and challenges, and planning future events. They are looking for someone who will be an advocate for Maggie’s, sharing their services far and wide to ensure all who need them know they are here.
