We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Attendance Assistant to work as a member of the school Admin team under the direction of the school Business Manager. The role will require you to assist our Attendance Officer in monitoring and promoting good student attendance levels throughout the school.
Your key accountabilities include:
- Retrieval of telephone messages and marking students accordingly on our school systems
- Liaising with class tutors and teachers to ensure class registers are kept accurate and up to date
- Logging attendance on our school Attendance Tracker on a weekly basis for use by our Heads of Year
- Making calls to non-attenders and logging all details of calls on our school systems
- Acting as a back up to our Attendance Officer
Previous experience of Arbor or SIMS and Excel would be an advantage but not vital as full training will be given.
The successful applicant will:
- Possess excellent communication skills and be able to relate well to young people in a supportive manner
- Be able to adapt the role to meet the changing needs of the school
- Be brilliant at multi-tasking and have a good sense of humour
