Made in Japan UK brings the best of Japanese tableware and homeware to the UK. We supply Michelin-starred restaurants, shops and hotels as well as retail customers through our website and store at Redbrick. Every order we send matters from a single handmade mug to a full pallet of ceramics. Our small, friendly team takes pride in quality, care, and customer service and weβre looking for someone who shares that approach.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven and hard-working individual to join the team. You will be responsible for ensuring all orders are picked, packed and passed to the courier correctly. The role is demanding at peak times for online orders, and you will be required to be fast-paced and efficient in the job.

Responsibilities can include:
- Keeping stock organised, tidy and safe
- Picking and packing orders with care including fragile ceramics so they arrive with customers exactly as intended
- Preparing shipments: printing labels, wrapping, boxing and booking couriers
- Receiving deliveries, checking goods for quality and accuracy and putting stock away
- Carrying out stock counts and keeping inventory up to date (using Shopify and warehouse software)
- Assisting with returns and occasional customer queries
- Following health & safety procedures and maintaining a clean workspace
Requirements
The candidate should be a practical and methodical person with good attention to detail and be happy to work individually and as part of a small team. The ability to work quickly, accurately and safely are highly desirable skills.
Ideally have experience as a warehouse worker, comfortable lifting up to 20kg, computer literate, able to answer occasional customer queries and good organisational and time management skills.
The position is highly dynamic and fast paced and will require manual work on a daily basis.
Working Hours 9am β 5pm Monday to Friday

We are looking for flexible individuals to provide customers with great service and help the company continue to grow.
We are based in Batley, West Yorkshire. Please consider this when applying for the position. Full on site training will be provided.
