Red Box are currently looking for a Special Education Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant – Deaf Support Base with BSL (British Sign Language) to fill a position in a mainstream primary school located in Tower Hamlets.

Duration: Long Term Supply

Type: Full Time

Pay: £90-100 per day (incl stat holiday pay)

Location: Tower Hamlets

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience working with autism, challenging behaviour and complex needs
  • Deaf Support Base with BSL (British Sign Language)
  • Experience working in a UK classroom setting
  • Commitment and flexibility
  • Behaviour management skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as individually
  • Understanding of primary school curriculum
  • Excellent work ethic and positive attitude, ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to arrange for one
  • Excellent references covering at least the last 2 years of employment
