TITLE JUNIOR WELDER / FABRICATOR This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic welder to join our growing production team.
You will assist with the fabrication and welding of stainless steel components and assemblies used across our range of commercial and leisure craft.
Weareseekinga Stainless Steel Fabricatortojoinourproductionteam, workingprimarilywith marine-grade316stainlesssteel.
Theroleinvolvesthefabricationandweldingofhigh-quality componentsforrigidinflatableboats(RIBs), includinghandrails, frames, fueltanksanddeck fittings.
Thispositionwillinvolveworkingcloselyundertheguidanceofahighlyexperiencedfabricator withover30yearsinthetrade.
Thesuccessfulcandidatewillbeexpectedtolearnestablished methods, techniques, and standards that are specific to Redbay Boats.
Giventhenatureofourwork, weldsarenotdressed.
Theyareonlypolished, meaninga consistentlyhighstandardofweldappearance, uniformity, andcontrolisessentialfromthe outset.
We are open to applicants at all levels, from fully qualified fabricators to those at an early stage in their career who are keen to learn a skilled trade.
The key requirement is attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to meet Redbay standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assistwiththefabricationandweldingofstainlesssteelcomponentsandassemblies.
Marineandstainlesssteelfabricationexperienceisdesirable, butnotessential.
Readandfollow technicaldrawingsand fabricationinstructions.
Preparematerialsforweldingandassembly.
Operateweldingandfabricationequipmentsafelyandeffectively.
Maintainhighstandardsofquality, accuracyandhousekeeping.
Workcollaboratively with production and operationsteams.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
PERSON SPECIFICATION Previousweldingorfabricationexperiencepreferred.
