Overview
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven
Corporate Finance Partner
to lead and grow our
Lead Advisory practice
within our London office. This role is suited to a seasoned corporate finance professional with a proven track record in originating, managing, and executing mid-market M&A transactions, as well as building and leading high-performing teams.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the firm\’s Corporate Finance offering, developing client relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth across the mid-market segment (typically £10m-£30m EV).
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the development and execution of the firm\’s corporate finance growth strategy across lead advisory services.
- Drive business development initiatives to originate new mandates and expand the client base across target sectors.
- Contribute to the firm\’s leadership group, influencing strategic direction and firm-wide performance.
- Mentor, develop, and manage a high-calibre corporate finance team to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
Transaction Management
- Oversee the full lifecycle of M&A transactions, from origination to execution and completion.
- Advise shareholders, management teams, and investors on sell-side and buy-side mandates, MBOs/MBIs, and fundraising.
- Structure and negotiate complex transactions, ensuring optimal outcomes for clients.
- Maintain strong relationships with private equity, institutional investors, and corporate acquirers.
Client & Market Engagement
- Develop and maintain a strong network of relationships with business owners, intermediaries, private equity firms, and legal advisors.
- Act as a senior relationship partner for key clients, ensuring delivery excellence and repeat business.
- Enhance the firm\’s market profile through thought leadership, events, and media engagement.
Commercial & Operational Management
- Take ownership of revenue and profitability targets for the lead advisory team.
- Drive operational efficiency, best practice, and compliance across engagements.
- Collaborate with other service lines (e.g. Transaction Services, Valuations, Restructuring, Tax) to deliver integrated solutions.
Experience & Qualifications
- Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in Corporate Finance / M&A advisory, ideally within a mid-market or independent advisory environment.
- Proven success in originating, managing, and executing mid-market transactions.
- Established network of relationships with private equity, debt providers, and corporate acquirers.
- Demonstrable leadership experience, with a track record of team development and revenue growth.
- ACA-qualified (or equivalent) with strong technical and commercial acumen.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
