We're currently looking for an experienced KDB+ Developer to join a major financial services client in London. You'll be responsible for designing, developing and optimising KDB+/q solutions supporting Real Time market data, analytics and reporting platforms. The role requires strong experience with KDB+ architecture, performance tuning and large-scale time-series datasets.

Required Experience

  • 8+ years of commercial KDB+ development experience
  • Strong expertise in q programming
  • Experience with TP, RDB and HDB architectures
  • Strong understanding of time-series databases and market data environments
  • Experience optimising performance, latency and scalability
  • Linux/Unix experience including Shell Scripting
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments

Desirable

  • Investment Banking or Trading experience
  • Equities, FX, Futures or Derivatives exposure
  • Kafka or Solace experience
  • CI/CD and DevOps tooling knowledge
