Based in Aberdeen, our client requires an experienced Business Development Lead to help grow and expand their onshore/offshore catering service solution for current and future clients and manage the sales activity for the business across new and existing markets in collaboration with the business development function.

In addition, as Business Development Lead, you will be responsible for managing prospects from initial contract to completing tender responses, client presentation to closing out opportunities including commercial and contractual terms.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Building a network of contacts within prospective clients, following up on leads created through Lead Forensics and general market intelligence.
  • Maintain our CRM system (Customer Relationship Management), managing the sales pipeline and sales activity.
  • Collaborate with Management to develop and maintain the sales strategy.
  • Maintain and develop the corporate image and reputation of the Company’s brand.
  • Develop content for tender submissions, bespoke to the target client focusing on winning themes.
  • Project management of tender process.
  • Working with Finance and Commercial teams in building robust commercial models, identifying risks and opportunities, understanding the cost base and profit potential of each opportunity.
  • Create prospect specific strategic plans, covering winning solutions, key decision makers, activities, and insights.
  • Manage regular client engagement.
  • Preparing and presenting regular reports to management team on growth performance and activities.
  • Working with Operations to deliver successful mobilisations of new contracts.
  • Develop marketing initiatives that will appeal to our prospective clients in line with the marketing strategy.
  • Keep abreast of market dynamics and competition activities. Working with the wider management team to deliver on company strategic objectives.
