We are looking for a Senior National Accounts Manager, you will focus largely on the development of The Tesco Group (Tesco & Booker) & Sainsburys, with the objectives of building distribution and driving sales for our portfolio of brands. With a relationship in these customers already established and a substantial business already in place, this role will use an insight led perspective, with a scrappy and agile attitude, to drive future growth and give us a platform for long term growth with these customers for the years ahead.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage, develop & grow Tesco Group (Tesco & Booker) & Sainsburys through existing & new brands
- Develop and execute Joint Business Plans to achieve & exceed Revenue, Margin, and Distribution targets.
- Lead annual negotiations on pricing, promotions, and trading terms, where applicable.
- Prepare and present regular performance reviews to internal stakeholders and key external contacts.
- Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and risks, and present data-led recommendations to relevant customers.
- Drive brand development through identifying and implementing sales drivers and liaising with our Trade Marketing teams on initiatives.
- Work closely with Supply Chain & Operations to maintain high service levels & accurate forecasting.
- Represent Red Star Brands at key trade events, customer trade shows, and any other events and/or festivals that the business demands.
- Build cross functional working relationships between the Sales Teams, Brand Teams, Supply Chain, Commercial Team, and Senior Management, to identify and drive efficiencies in everything we do.
- Such other tasks as may be advised by your manager or necessary in the completion of the role.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- A proven track record within the FMCG category, supported by exceptional selling, negotiation and commercial acumen is essential.
- Strong track record of winning listings, delivering growth, and driving category performance.
- Good understanding of the market landscape & previous experience working with Grocers & Wholesalers (ideally Tesco, Sainsburys & Booker)
- Excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills.
- Good networking capabilities.
- Ability to interpret customer & market data, to turn insights into actions and use in negotiations with customers.
- Willing to travel and spend time away from home, as the business requires.
