We have an exciting opportunity for a Power Feed Equipment (PFE) Test and Qualification Lead to join our client in London on a permanent basis. The role will lead test and qualification of the PFE product to the necessary standards of safety and functional/system compliance. The PFE Test and Qualification Lead will also confirm the product operates in line with feature descriptions and system design specifications.

Essential Experience:

  • Degree/HND/HNC in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in the test development, processes management and implementation.
  • 5+ years of software and hardware, and system testing experience on electronics products and products qualification.
  • Experience in planning test set ups, lab instruments and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fault diagnostics skills including fault identification and reporting with tools like JIRA.
  • High standard of organisation, communication and technical report writing.

Desirable Experience:

  • Test Automation, Experience of HV testing processes.
  • Familiar with standards such as IEC 62368, ETS, EN55022.
  • Experience working with external regulatory agencies such as UL, TUV.
  • Test management tools.

Job Description:

  • Lead validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing.
  • Lead and organize internal and external qualification of the product such as EMI/EMC, Environmental, Safety.
  • Providing support/overseeing 1-2 engineers/subcontractors.
  • Drives collective decisions in the areas of verification and validation that impact product performance, reliability, safety, and durability.
  • Define, plan required test set ups.
  • Plan & manage Capex for the test equipment and set up in the R&D Lab.
  • Manage flow down of product and systems requirements, specifications to the test strategy.
  • Create test and validation strategies, test plans, perform tests, create reports and issues analysis related to new products before launch and continuation products on request of different departments and projects.
  • Work on test concepts from planning to commissioning of new product, rigs, and jigs and as well software/firmware related for various test purposes including simulation and test automation.
  • Estimate projects, tasks, targets agreed in alignment with the yearly department quality goals.
