We are on the lookout for a Quality Inspection Manager to lead all inspection and control activities in a dynamic manufacturing environment. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
- Engineering Degree or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in an inspection/control role.
- Strong leadership and people management experience.
- Previous experience of working within a production/manufacturing environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Ensure required product and process inspection activities are met.
- Ensure inspected products meet specified requirements, raise non-conformance tickets via the internal system when required.
- Implement and maintain risk-based methodology towards inspection activities.
- Implement processes for ensuring all members within the team are suitably trained and signed off across all Production Areas including promoting quality related improvement activities.
- Develop Quality Inspection and Control team ensuring all inspectors are competent to carry out inspections in all areas.
- Responsible for the health & safety of the team including management of Risk Assessments.
- Provide guidance on pass/fail decisions based on product technical specifications and/or acceptance criteria.
- Conversant with types of measurement and inspection techniques including shadowgraph; CMM; Calipers; Micrometers; Talyrond (Surface Finish) instruments and understanding of Engineering Drawings (G,D&T).
- Support quality investigations in the event of significant non-conformance or when required.
- Foster a strong quality & reliability culture within the team, promoting zero tolerance to defects and reinforcing the importance of doing things right the first time.
