We are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Engineer to work with our London based client on a full-time permanent basis. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the company management system and lead the management & resolution of site audit findings.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
- Degree in Engineering, Quality or related field.
- Previous significant experience in a similar facilitating multi-disciplinary teams in process improvement activities.
- Lean 6-Sigma.
- ISO9001 Lead Auditor.
- Proven experience with Root Cause Analysis tools including CAPA Management.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Good level of Microsoft Tool (Excel, Power point etc).
- Good Project Management Skills and autonomy.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good organisational skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop, write, and update procedures and documentation necessary for the effective operation of the QMS.
- Participate in the design, implementation, and monitoring of quality processes to meet internal, customer, and certification standards.
- Support internal and external departments in applying and improving the quality approach.
- Plan, conduct, and report internal audits (product and process) in accordance with the established schedule and management requests.
- Coordinate audit follow-ups, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are identified, implemented, and verified.
- Facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for non-conformance events using 8D, Fishbone/Ishikawa, or 5 Whys methodologies.
- Identify gaps in business processes and lead implementation of improvements to ensure compliance with ISO9001 and customer requirements.
- Monitor and report key quality indicators, audit results, and QSE-related performance metrics.
- Lead and coordinate the annual Management Review, compiling business performance data, reporting output actions, and tracking completion.
- Define process effectiveness assessment methods with Process Owners and report on progress toward Quality Objectives, identifying recovery actions where needed.
- Produce reports and dashboards related to QMS document control and overall quality performance.
- Participate in the development and execution of the annual quality improvement plan.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities across key activities in collaboration with Process Owners and stakeholders.
- Support and participate in Lean, Jidoka, and other site improvement and culture change programs.
Collaboration and Communication
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, stakeholders, and interested parties.
- Attend relevant meetings, contributing quality-related insights and updates.
- Capture and analyse data for the business’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain up-to-date personal competency and training records.
- Adhere to local QHSE rules, including ESD protocols and clean area standards, and promptly report any accidents or near misses.
- Utilize all required system tools and manage administrative tasks such as timekeeping, leave, and other HR-related responsibilities with the line manager.
