We have a great opportunity to join our client in Greenwich as a Production Supervisor on a full-time, permanent basis. This role has arisen due to new project wins.

As the Production Supervisor you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery on production targets, meeting quality standards, through to the effective management of any Production team across any shift pattern. Weekday Rotations & Weekend Rotations.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

  • NVQ Level 4 Qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience within manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisory or line management experience.
  • Experience of managing permanent and temporary staff.
  • Experience of Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Communication skills - written and oral.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills – Able to plan production schedules and monitor materials availability.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Oversee the manufacture of products within the department to meet production plans, on time and to the required quality standard.
  • Liaise with Inventory Control to ensure material availability.
  • Attend meetings, as necessary, prepared with relevant information and contributions.
  • Maintain necessary metrics (dashboards & efficiencies).
  • Communicate with team members effectively and ensure business information is cascaded to the team.
  • Monitor, manage and report teams’ performance.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and data as required.
  • Record and track any improvement opportunities actively seeking them from team.
  • Record CNQ and efficiency weekly and use to drive improvements.
  • Liaise with Training Department as necessary.
  • Ensure department Training Competency Records are up to date.
  • Ensure departmental training qualification/re-qualification plans are up to date.
  • Act as a role model for safety and quality promoting use of STOP culture.
  • Ensure company Health & Safety policies are applied; ensure all staff activities are carried out in a safe manner.
  • Monitor staff compliance with the HSE rules.
  • Ensure ESD Protocols are followed by departmental staff.
  • Ensure infrastructure is in place.
  • Ensure process documents/SAP are completed accurately.
  • Respond to product quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Lead improvements & assist in improvement implementation.
  • Record departmental efficiency data for manager reports.
  • Promote STOP culture for safety and quality issues.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and implement corrective actions when required.
  • Verify all team members have read, signed and understood the risk assessment and ensure regular visitors are also included.
  • Encourage and implement cross-training programs to increase workforce flexibility and resilience.
  • Carry out & record yearly training reviews.
  • Maintain valid RISK & COSHH records.
  • Carry out yearly assessment reviews. Ensure staff adherence.
  • Ensure PPE is readily available.
  • Manage team’s time and attendance (holidays, sickness, Timekeeping, grievances).
  • Manage agency worker timesheets.
  • Raise all relevant production software accounts for staff.
  • Participate in recruitment campaigns and conduct interviews as required.
  • Carry out return to work interviews.
  • Carry out any HR investigations when required.
  • Ensure Departmental health safety checks are carried out on time and equipment is labelled where required.
  • Ensure Hazardous Waste is removed from the area in a timely manner.
  • Report all Accidents & Near Misses in a timely manner to HSE Department.
  • Enforce & Adhere to local clean area rules (ESD, Washing hands etc). Manage any non-compliance.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE ON OFFER

Competitive salary, healthcare, medical insurance, 5% bonus and availability of overtime, plus premium uplift for nightshift (10%).
