FIRST AID TRAINER Number of Positions: 3 Location: Birmingham - Office Based Contract: 12-months Pay Rate: Β£19.38 per hour Reporting to: Training / Learning & Development Manager ROLE PURPOSE The First Aid Trainer will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering high-quality first aid training to staff based at Lloyd House.

The postholder will ensure training is engaging, practical and aligned with relevant first aid standards, legislation, organisational requirements and best practice. The role will involve delivering both theoretical and practical learning, assessing learner competence and providing constructive feedback to support successful completion of training.

The successful candidate will use their subject matter expertise and training experience to ensure learners develop the knowledge, practical skills and confidence required to respond effectively to first aid situations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging first aid training sessions to individuals and groups. Deliver both classroom-based and practical first aid training. Manage learners and create a positive, inclusive and effective learning environment. Prepare and maintain training materials, presentations, practical exercises and assessment resources. Ensure training content remains accurate, current and aligned with recognised first aid guidance and relevant legislation.

Demonstrate practical first aid techniques and ensure learners have sufficient opportunity to practise and develop their skills. Assess learner knowledge, understanding and practical competence against relevant learning outcomes. Provide constructive feedback and additional support where required to help learners achieve the required standard. Maintain accurate training, attendance and assessment records. Identify individual learning needs and adapt training delivery accordingly.

Promote good practice in relation to health, safety, safeguarding and professional conduct. Maintain appropriate training equipment and ensure practical training environments are safe and suitable for delivery.
