Posts Available: 4 x Full time positions

Nexus House, Ashton-under-Lyne (with regular travel across GMP Districts)

Pay: £18.98 per hour PAYE

We are seeking four experienced and highly skilled PIP2 accredited investigators to join the newly established Focused Investigation of Rape Support Team (FIRST) on an 18-month contract. This is a specialist support role designed to improve the quality and effectiveness of response to adult victims of rape and attempted rape (O’16). You will act as a subject matter expert and mentor, supporting investigators and supervisors to deliver suspect-focused, context-led and victim-centred investigations, improving case file quality and Criminal Justice outcomes.

Key Objectives

  • Improve investigative quality and outcomes in adult rape and attempted rape cases.
  • Evidential Review & Case File Quality
  • Embed a “Getting It Right First Time” ethos.
  • Partnership & Training
  • Work closely with CPS RASSO Unit lawyers.
  • Identify and deliver RASSO-related training opportunities across GMP.
  • Contribute to policy dissemination and operational consistency.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, policy and joint agency protocols.
  • Ability to produce high-quality advisory reports.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
