As a key member of our Business Services team you’ll be responsible for supporting the efficient and effective administration of a portfolio of training packages to UK Police Forces and other stakeholders. You’ll provide support to all areas at the Centre, including booking accommodation and travel, undertaking finance, procurement, general administration duties and lead on Health & Safety matters.
Using your excellent customer service and communication skills, you’ll work to ensure you deliver against objectives and you’ll also understand the importance of accuracy when undertaking tasks. You’ll sometimes work on your own initiative and prioritise tasks accordingly.

Main duties and responsibilities:
- Organising and administering training events and ensuring logistical arrangements are in place.
- Monitoring attendance, recording feedback.
- Allocating training opportunities to UK Blue Light agencies and acting as first point of contact for all enquiries relating to resource management and attendance.
- Supporting training officers and admin team, including updating and recording training registration data, and the use of booking systems.
- Maintaining and updating course material including delegate information and joining instructions ensuring documentation relating to course delivery is made available to delegates.
- Supporting meetings; minute taking, maintaining action logs, collation and circulation of documentation and co-ordinating pre meet sessions.
- Provide appropriate support, advice and/or guidance to CBRN Practitioners at the quarterly forums.
- Ordering uniform, stationery and other consumables, using contracted suppliers.
- Maintaining accurate finance records including creating and processing invoices.
- Ordering refreshments including packed lunches for meetings and courses.
- Report and record maintenance faults and follow up where required.
- Update and maintain all records pertaining to the CBRN fleet including service scheduling and all legal requirements.
- Monitor all vehicle log sheets and notify exceptions to the Business Manager.
- Develop and maintain vehicle costing’s record for use by the Business Manager.
- Comply with all College and CBRN policies and procedures relating to the CBRN fleet.
- Liaise closely with WMP Fleet Services and deliver department requirements within agreed timescales as well as ensuring effective allocation of fleet resources for duty managers/officers in line with on call duties.
- Maintain vehicle day to day usage by wider CBRN staff and ensure resources are available or suitable alternatives provided.
- Update and maintain data/records relating to all aspects of transport and provision of vehicles for CBRN.
- All other tasks assigned by manager commensurate with role.
Essential:
- NVQ level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office; Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
