We are seeking an experienced and passionate Trauma Informed Police & Multi-Agency Trainer to support the delivery of trauma-informed training programmes across multi-agency partners. This role plays a key part in embedding trauma-informed practice across services and supporting professionals to better understand and respond to trauma.

Working as part of the Violence Reduction Unit, you will lead on identifying training needs, designing and delivering high-quality learning, and supporting the ongoing development of trauma-informed approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify core training needs relating to trauma-informed policing and partnership working.
  • Design and deliver engaging training tailored to organisational, group, and individual learning requirements.
  • Develop and maintain lesson plans, learning materials, and course descriptors.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff around learning and development needs.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of the annual training plan.
  • Produce, analyse, and present management information and performance data.
  • Evaluate training programmes to ensure quality and effectiveness.
  • Maintain oversight and coordination of the Trauma Informed Lancashire Programme.
  • Provide a positive, learner-focused training environment.
  • Undertake additional duties aligned with the responsibilities of the role.
Essential Criteria
  • Teaching or training qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 4 or above.
  • Strong experience delivering presentations and training to varied audiences.
  • Knowledge of assessment methods, performance monitoring, and structured lesson planning.
  • Experience working to deadlines within busy environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience managing confidential information with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and contribute effectively within a team.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety, Equality, Data Protection, and community legislation.
  • Ability to travel as required for business purposes.
Desirable Criteria
  • Knowledge and practical experience of trauma-informed practice within policing, education, social care, or health settings.
  • Knowledge or experience of the Trauma Informed Lancashire Programme.
