We are looking for a compassionate, resilient and motivated Modern Slavery Outreach Advocate to join a specialist frontline support service helping adults and families recover from exploitation, rebuild their lives and reduce the risk of re-trafficking. About the Role
As a Modern Slavery Outreach Advocate, you will manage a caseload of individuals who have experienced modern slavery or human trafficking, providing practical, emotional and advocacy support throughout their recovery journey. Working closely with partner agencies, you'll help clients access accommodation, healthcare, financial support, legal advice and other essential services while ensuring their safety and wellbeing remain at the centre of everything you do.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied caseload of survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking
- Completing risk and needs assessments and developing person-centred support plans
- Supporting clients through the National Referral Mechanism (NRM) process
- Providing practical and emotional support to promote recovery and independence
- Working in partnership with statutory and voluntary organisations to achieve positive outcomes
- Maintaining accurate case records and meeting contractual performance targets
- Advocating on behalf of clients to ensure they receive the support and services they are entitled to
- Promoting safeguarding and ensuring appropriate action is taken where risks are identified.
About You
We're looking for someone who has experience working with vulnerable adults, children or individuals with complex needs and who understands the importance of delivering trauma-informed, person-centred support. You'll ideally have:
- Experience supporting vulnerable people within a needs-led service
- Experience completing risk assessments, support planning and managing complex cases
- Knowledge of safeguarding adults and children
- Excellent communication, advocacy and relationship-building skills
- The ability to work independently whilst managing competing priorities
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and case management systems
- A compassionate, non-judgemental and resilient approach to supporting people experiencing crisis.
- Knowledge of modern slavery, human trafficking, the National Referral Mechanism (NRM), safeguarding, homelessness or related legislation would be highly advantageous.

Additional Information
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential. The role involves regular travel across the West Midlands and occasional travel further afield. Some flexibility to work outside normal office hours may be required. Appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
