Probation Services Officer - Approved Premises (AP) To contribute to the effective risk management and rehabilitation of individuals residing in Approved Premises (APs), supporting the Probation Service\'s aim of protecting the public, reducing reoffending, and enabling offenders to lead law-abiding lives. The role involves key working, delivering structured rehabilitative activities, supporting case management, and contributing to dynamic risk management plans. PSOs work closely with Probation Officers and partner agencies to promote compliance, rehabilitation, and community reintegration. Job details: Location: Camden House, 199 Arlington Road, London, NW1 7HA Hourly rate: £18.59 PAYE or £24.48 Umbrella p/h Contract: Temporary - 6-month contract Hours: 37 per week (full-time) Key Responsibilities: Act as a keyworker for residents, providing structured support in line with sentence and licence conditions. Deliver rehabilitative and educational activities, encouraging residents engagement in purposeful and prosocial routines. Support case management by contributing to sentence plans, progress reviews, and dynamic risk assessments. Contribute to risk management plans, identifying and escalating concerns relating to risk of harm, safeguarding, or compliance. Facilitate effective referrals to services such as housing, employment, substance misuse, and mental health support. Liaise with Probation Officers and Offender Managers to ensure continuity of supervision and timely information sharing. Monitor compliance with AP rules, licence conditions, and curfews, taking appropriate action in the event of breaches or incidents. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential case records using approved systems (e.g., nDelius). Support the maintenance of a safe, secure, and rehabilitative environment, including participation in building checks, handovers, and team meetings. Essential Criteria: Experience working with vulnerable or complex individuals in a supportive or supervisory capacity. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to assess risk and respond appropriately under pressure. Good record-keeping and IT literacy, particularly with case management systems. Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
