Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting for a Probation Service Officer on behalf of our client the National Probation Service. We are looking for a PSO to join a busy contact centre in High Wycombe, supporting the supervision and rehabilitation of individuals on probation. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a role that supports safer communities and helps individuals build better futures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of individuals on licence or community order
  • Complete risk assessments and sentence plans
  • Monitor compliance and progress
  • Engage with service users to address their needs (housing, employment, etc.)
  • Work closely with police, local councils, and support agencies

About the Site

You will be based at Easton Court, a Ministry of Justice probation centre that plays a vital role in reducing reoffending in the South Central region. The team works in partnership with Thames Valley Police and other services to ensure effective offender management and resettlement.

The Essentials

  • Office-based role - remote work is not available
  • Recent experience with a recognised provider of probation services (within the last 5 years)
  • Full-time (37 hrs/week) or part-time considered
  • Travel required (reimbursed)
  • Assignment length: 26 weeks
  • Easily accessible from the train station and M40
  • Paid at 14.99 PAYE or 19.74 via umbrella company
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS - we can support with this
