Criminal Justice Support Worker \\n\\nLocation: Hybrid – 2 days in the office and 3 days home based\\n Salary: £23,500 – £25,000 per annum\\n Hours: 35 hours per week (full-time)\\n Contract: Fixed term until December 2026 (with commitment to funding until December 2027)\\n\\nRed Snapper Recruitment are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Criminal Justice Support Worker to provide vital support to women on probation. This role will involve managing a caseload, delivering group sessions, and working closely with probation services and partner agencies to help women achieve positive outcomes and reduce reoffending.\\n\\nYou'll be covering for existing staff undertaking an evaluation project with the Jabbs Foundation and the University of Birmingham, focused on assessing the effectiveness of Women's Centres.\\n\\nPlease note: This role is offered within a women only service, and therefore only women need apply (exemption under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010).\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\nSupport women in Salford who are on probation.\\nComplete detailed documentation, including referral and WRNA assessments of service users' needs.\\nLiaise closely with the Probation Service, who are co located at the office.\\nAgree individual action plans with each service user and regularly review progress.\\nManage a caseload of service users, supporting each individual in progressing through their support plan.\\nDevelop effective communication strategies with delivery partners, keeping relevant people informed of progress or issues.\\nMaintain up to date contact logs after every client or agency interaction.\\nCapture and produce management information and data relating to the project.\\nProduce monthly reports relating to targets set by managers and funders.\\nEstablish and maintain constructive working relationships with all programme partners.\\nEnsure adequate staff cover for the centre during sickness, training, or breaks.\\nAttend supervision sessions with the Centre Manager.\\nAttend training and "train the trainer" courses, delivering group training once qualified.\\nAdhere to all project policies and promote the service actively.\\nContribute to other duties required by the project, including group sessions, case reviews, training sessions, and events.\\nComply with all safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.Person Specification\\n\\nTo be successful in this role, you'll bring:\\n\\nKnowledge of issues affecting women and offenders, and an understanding of offending behaviour.\\nExperience working with at least two of the following groups:\\nWomen\\nOffenders\\nPeople at risk of offending\\nStrong case management and communication skills.\\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\\nExcellent time management and organisational skills.\\nExperience meeting targets and reporting outcomes.\\nThe ability to build rapport and trust with service users and partners.\\nA proactive approach to outreach work.\\nPrevious experience in a social care setting.\\nA relevant qualification in social care, youth/community work, or health.\\nAccess to a car and a valid driving licence is essential\\nIf successful vetting will be carried out.This role is offered within a women only service, and therefore only women need apply (exemption under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010).\\n\\nDue to the high volume of applications we receive, if you do not hear from us within 7 working days, your application has been unsuccessful.\\n\\nIf this role is not for you but you do know somebody who would be interested, please feel free to refer them to us!
