We’re seeking a Station Manager to oversee key ground services at Bristol Airport, ensuring smooth, safe, and high-quality operations across aircraft cleaning, toilet and water servicing, and exterior aircraft cleaning. What You'll Be Responsible For:
- Aircraft Cabin Cleaning (Secure & Deep Cleaning): Lead secure and deep cleaning operations for aircraft cabins, ensuring all airline-specific and regulatory standards are met. Oversee the use of appropriate cleaning techniques and materials to guarantee passenger-ready cabins that meet hygiene and presentation expectations.
- Toilet & Water Servicing: Manage the safe, efficient replenishment of water systems and toilet servicing for all aircraft. Ensure proper waste disposal and regulatory compliance, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and functionality.
- Aircraft Exterior Cleaning: Supervise aircraft exterior cleaning teams, ensuring all work is done to airline specifications using safe, approved products and techniques.
- Health & Safety Leadership: Champion a safety-first culture across all service areas. Proactively identify and mitigate risks while ensuring compliance with BAL and UK aviation health and safety regulations.
- Team Leadership & Staff Engagement: Recruit, train, and manage teams across service lines. Foster a collaborative and high-performance environment through effective guidance, recognition, and ongoing development.
- Stakeholder & Customer Relations: Build strong working relationships with airlines, airport authorities, and other partners. Act promptly and professionally to resolve any operational or service-related concerns.
- Operational & Financial Oversight: Monitor service line performance to meet operational and financial goals. Identify opportunities to optimize resources, improve processes, and reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Service Delivery & Standards: Set and uphold clear service delivery standards across all areas. Track performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions when necessary to exceed expectations.
- Emergency Response & Contingency Planning: Prepare and lead teams through operational disruptions, from weather delays to emergencies, ensuring consistent, safe service delivery.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Ensure seamless coordination with internal teams and external service providers to maintain day-to-day operational flow and address any challenges swiftly.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and continuous improvement across all service areas by identifying gaps and developing new ways to improve safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years’ experience in managing aviation operations, ideally in ground handling, aircraft cleaning, or servicing roles.
- In-depth understanding of aircraft interior/exterior cleaning, water and waste servicing, and regulatory standards.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a demanding operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety practices, with a focus on compliance and proactive risk management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
