Red Sky Personnel have a requirement for a Senior Planning Engineer. As a Planning Engineer, you will have extensive civil engineering site experience, as this role requires being able to plan the most efficient methods of project delivery, whilst finding solutions to engineering problems. You must also be able to provide support to the pre-contract tender team, assist with bid writing and summarising their construction thoughts on scheme specific programmes.
Some of your typical duties will include:
- Provide advice and assistance on planning, methods of construction, solutions to engineering problems and programme creation.
- Ensure that while planning each tender, all possible alternative methods and strategies have been considered and discussed with the tender team.
- Assist with providing supporting documents for each tender submission as required.
- Jointly reviewing sub-contracted design work with respect to buildability and tender compliance, seeking advice from the Technical Manager when necessary.
- Ensure that any programmes and supporting documents produced comply with all schemes' specific constraints.
- Keep up to date with industry developments, innovations, and legislation.
The ideal candidate will have a wide experience of working on civil engineering sites, will have a minimum of an HNC civil engineering qualification, be comfortable working in a team and be proficient with programming software, such as Asta or Microsoft Project, although training can be provided.
