Quantity Surveyor - Ductwork

About the Role

On behalf of our client, Red Sky Personnel is recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with specialist knowledge in ductwork systems . This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established commercial team delivering projects across the construction sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in estimating, quantity surveying, and full-cycle cost management to support the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Estimating : Prepare accurate cost estimates for ductwork installations, including materials, labour, and overheads.
• Quantity Surveying : Oversee all QS activities such as measurement, valuations, and cost control.
• Project Cost Management : Monitor project costs, identify savings, and ensure compliance with budgetary targets.
• Tendering : Support tender preparation by reviewing documentation, compiling submissions, and liaising with clients.
• Contract Administration : Draft and manage contract documents, variations, and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
• Commercial Management : Provide financial oversight and reporting, managing commercial risk and supporting project teams.
• Stakeholder Engagement : Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Process Improvement : Continuously review and enhance commercial procedures to drive efficiency and compliance.

Requirements

• Education : Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience : Minimum of 5 years in a similar QS role, ideally with ductwork or M&E experience.
• Professional Accreditation : RICS, ICES, or equivalent membership preferred.
• Technical Skills : Strong proficiency in MS Excel and estimating software.
• Knowledge : In-depth understanding of construction contracts and commercial practices.
