Job Title: Duct Fitters Mate Location: Cambridge Job Type: Full-time / Contract Salary: £17.50 per hour Reporting to: Duct Fitter / Site Supervisor Job Purpose: We are currently looking for a hardworking and reliable Duct Fitters Mate to assist qualified duct fitters with the installation and maintenance of ductwork systems. This role is ideal for someone with previous site experience looking to develop a career in the HVAC or ductwork trade. Key Responsibilities: Assist duct fitters with installation of ductwork (rectangular, circular, spiral) on site. Carry, hold, and position ducting and materials during installation. Help with measuring, marking, cutting, and preparation of materials. Use hand and power tools safely under supervision. Maintain a clean and safe working area, complying with site health and safety standards. Unload and store ducting materials and tools. Follow instructions from the duct fitter or site supervisor to ensure work is completed to standard. Support with dismantling and removal of old duct systems when required. Requirements: Basic understanding of construction site practices. Previous experience assisting tradespeople (ideally in HVAC or ductwork) preferred. ValidCSCS Labourer Card. Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks. Punctual, reliable, and keen to learn. Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions. Desirable Qualifications: Manual Handling & Working at Height training PASMA or IPAF (advantageous but not essential) Driving licence and own transport Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00am 5:00pm Overtime and weekend work may be available.
