Quality Assurance Engineer

Red Sky are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Engineer in Maldon, Essex. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of world leading products in our field at the minimum cost with the minimum product defect and returns.

Part time permanent contract

3 days per week (25.5hrs)

Mon-Wed 7.30-4.30 (may be flexible for the right candidate)

£24,000 – £29,000pa

Key tasks

Liaise with suppliers to ensure the supplied product meets the specified standards.

Reduce costs of manufacture due to the introduction of new processes or thinking

Responsible for the production reject process of component failure during the product lifecycle liaising with the factory/ Engineering and suppliers.

Identifying opportunities for production process improvements. Ability to resolve the challenges that arise during the production process

Work closely with QC team capturing failures and collaborate with the engineering team to ensure that the quality issue is resolved quickly.

Good understanding and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications

Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with the key stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience

Considerable experience in delivering quality engineered products.

High level of recognition and credibility within the sector as a Production Quality Engineer.

Considerable experience of initiating and delivering QA initiatives.

Excellent knowledge and understanding of Engineering supply and associated risks.
